Discover why foam is one of the most versatile materials
If you're one of those people who loves crafts, you've probably made many, and foamy (craft foam) has often been the star or a great complement. This is because it is a truly versatile material.

Foam or foamy is also known as EVA foam due to the name of the material: ethylene vinyl acetate. It has been used since the 1980s, although from 1990 onwards it boomed in many countries because it was used for school projects, more complex designs, model making, drawing, in the footwear industry, set design, and even as an anti-slip material, among many other applications.
Soon, foamy became a recurring material in crafts, but why did this happen? It's simple, it's a material whose characteristics are suitable for any type of manual work.

Crafts with foamy
Have you used foamy before? Tell us what you've made. If you want some suggestions, here are a few ideas for awesome things you can make, you just need a pencil, scissors, glue, colors, and elements to decorate with.

Drawings: It's very easy to draw on this material, whether you trace an outline and cut it out, draw and paint inside, or trace part by part of a shape or figure and then proceed to join and glue them.

3D Figures: A very popular use is for making models where you play with backgrounds and spaces or creating 3D figures, as you can give volume to animal or human figures by filling them with cotton. Currently, we see it a lot for making figures with motifs for a particular celebration, such as birthdays, baptisms, anniversaries, farewells, etc.
